So, inspired by that gift from the gods - the illustrious cannoli - I whipped up my own version of sweetened ricotta, heavy vanilla cream, and a core of apricot and pear puree, drizzled with light and sweet flower honey and laid upon a plate of teak. Though this may sound incredibly rich and dense, the fruit is indeed sweet but the creamy base is whipped to perfection! So when you want someone to give you a nibble...or three...give them a taste of heaven, East Coast style!

Summertime Blue

Light as a breeze, evocative of the bright skies of summer and the Tradewinds pulling the occasional fluffy cloud along in its wake. Purple Prickly Pear (also known as cactus fruit) is framed by a variety of Sonoran Desert and Cactus flowers, as well as Indian Paintbrush, along with the classic notes of Desert Sage and Copal Resin. It is the essence of a place which only seems dry and barren...but there is so much to discover beneath the surface.

Imagine the richest most scrumptious droolworthy cookie...got it? Now imagine you're the cookie! How could he resist? He'd be a fool to turn down our decadent fantasy confection: a chocolate-covered macaroon-snickerdoodle...can't you just taste it already? Coconut cream and shredded coconut is folded into a creamy batter of sugar, butter, vanilla, honey and nuts with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of chocolate. Mmm...makes you wanna lick the spoon, and then maybe he'll wanna lick...well, you get the picture! YUM!

You lose HOW MUCH percentage of your learning over the summer?

When the last bell rings...run for it! Two months of freedom...and that's two months of mischief, adventure, and just plain old goofing around. So for a scent memory of those sunny wild times at the beach, or a sassy accompaniment to this year's summertime experiences, here's the scent of young lust and a different kind of education: sugary bubblegum and cherry tobacco with a glistening sheen of classic pineapple/coconut suntan oil and a drop of sweet sandalwood.

A Night at the Round Table

In our curiosity to learn how the other half lives, it was revealed the evening repast at the famed Round Table of the Arthurian Court (circa late 5th Century) might have well included a serving of Fenkel in Soppes (Braised Fennel with Ginger). In order to create a scent fit for Royalty (and their guests), we settled on a more dessert-like variation of this historic dish: fennel accord (which is known for its protective and potency-increasing qualities) is seasoned with snappy saffron and ginger EOs and a generous sprinkle of white sugar.

Pomander Royale

The pomander possesses a long association with royalty...some of the recipes for the creation of the scented balls housed in precious metal ornaments were created by members of various royal courts around the world, as they had easy access to the materials of perfumery. Beyond its decorative and sensual aspects, the pomander was also a necessity in the Middle Ages as protection against a very odorous existence.

Our opulent revision is a lighter feminine version of the traditional recipe: benzoin and an orange-vanilla cream form the heart of the mix, deepened with ambergris, clove bud and sweet clove EOs, woody amber resin, cedar leaf EO, labdanum EO, then sweetened with a tiny touch of apple butter, brown sugar and a dash of chai spices.

Castle Crumble

An enduring British sweet-tooth tradition is the crumble: a baked dish usually featuring stewed fruit with a delicious crumbly topping made crispy while cooking (in Ye Olden Days it would have been buried in the embers of the log fire and covered with a cauldron). Across the centuries we bring you a sweetly tart version of this delectable dessert from our cultured cousins! Berries native to the Isles (strawberries, raspberries and currants) are enhanced with hazelnut, pie spices and golden honey.

Tiare Tiara

You can just SMELL the diamonds!

When one wishes to feel completely queenly, there's only one accessory which will do...a tiara! Alas, we cannot boast to have a collection of the crowns to rival Queen Elizabeth II, but we all can be radiantly regal with this scented evocation of the most royal of ornamentations. Exotic lush Tiare flower (a form of gardenia) is the jewel in the setting, complimented by Egyptian and Tunisian white musk, white amber and powdered sugar, then given further sparkle and shine with a dash of champagne and peppermint EO.

Flowers in the Moat

One doesn't really want to know what's in there, does one? But don't be afraid, ours is pretty!

A moat has many purposes...it can serve as a line of defense for a fortification (such as a castle) but it can also be ornamental. The British Isles feature many such waterways to enjoy as an aspect of the lush green landscape of the countryside, and in tribute to such an enduring part of the scenery we created our own little moat with hand-tinctured bladderwrack (also known as seaweed), wet earth and agua accord, made beautiful by water lily and lotus, heather and a sweet kiss of light muscovado sugar.

A Regal Confection

Of course none of us commoners can taste the pleasure of the actual cake the royal couple and their guests get to enjoy on that special day, but we can certainly make sure we smell like it! A sugar cookie base is piled with layers of deep dark fudge-y chocolate laced with sweet amber and topped with lavish cocoa butter. This is an absolute no-holds-barred CHOCOLATE scent fit for a...a prince and his bride (and all us chocoholics too!).

The Alabaster Queen

Sovereigns were the trendsetters in their bygone eras, and Queen Catherine de Medici was one of the most influential, beyond her position as a leading patron of the arts during her reign, as well as the woman who was credited with bringing a greater sense of elegance to a nation already known for its refinement. Catherine was praised for her alabaster skin, the pallor of which she achieved with the aid of a very special potion crafted by her personal perfumer, Rene de Florentin, summoning him to France from Italy when she was in need of his talents. We have recreated this beauty secret in fragrant form: almond milk, lemon and honey, to which we add a luscious slathering of vanilla and buttercream.

Rose of Shrewsbury

A favorite confection dating back to the 1500s, the town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire was famed for their delicately rose flavored cakes (which have more the consistency of what Yanks would call a cookie); and as well as being introduced to Colonial society by First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, the delicacy was also given further fame in William Congreve's play The Way of the World.

Our version is a lovely gourmand with a sheer whisper of floral...tangy light Sweetheart Roses and nutmeg are folded into distilled butter extract and coconut cream, then finished with a touch of fluffy cocoa butter.

Sang Real

A rich crimson flow of red wine, cassia, rose and rose of Sharon, rosewood, dragon's blood, red current and pomegranate is given a noble cast with patchouli and a dusting of Middle Eastern spices.

Whether you are meeting at the bar, the boardwalk, or even the Sheriff's office, this fragrance will make you oh-so-edible indeed. It is truly a fine evening we have ahead of us. What seductions await.
